This cozy quiet room in Oak Lawn is dedicated for medical students in need of short term housing who prefer to have a homestay experience with other medical students. If you need housing for a month or more while doing an externship, observership, or short term residency program, this is a very economical rental space for your needs.

Furnished rental room Chicago area is ideal. This room offers linens, towels, laundry basket, hangers, desk with lamp, and bedding. We offer clean and furnished rooms, free laundry, and a quiet place to relax and study. Our former guests have enjoyed the camaraderie and contacts they’ve made while staying with us. The kitchen and living room is yours to share with your housemates as well as the upper and lower level laundry areas. This room also has a shared bathroom with full sized tub and shower. This bathroom has a maximum of three guests using it. Summer guests can enjoy our new patio, with table and chairs.
This furnished rental room is exclusively for medical students and medical graduates needing short term housing in the Chicago area. The house is situated near two south Chicago hospitals (Advocate Christ Medical Center and Little Company of Mary Hospital. We also offer transport when available to Palos Community Hospital which is also nearby. This rental room is also within commuting distance from South Shore Hospital and Jackson Park Hospital, two common observership assignments for many of our guests. If you have a car, this clinical rotation is a short drive to St. James Olympia Fields Hospital. The main reason our guests decide to come and many decide to return again during the interview season is simply because we treat you like family. We are your home away from home, and will help you get acclimated and make you feel welcome while you are here.
The brown room has a cozy feel. It has a small closet and large window. This room has a bright reading lamp with a USB charging port for your convenience.
We generally have plenty of availability 3-4 months before most observerships. We advise our guests to book within 8 weeks of arrival to ensure we have availability during the busy season (April through September). We do also get last minute cancellations sometimes so it’s always best to at least try to see if we are available even if you need immediate accommodations. In the fall and winter months we tend to have more availability up to 4 weeks before your intended arrival date. We are flexible with people who need to make slight adjustments to their externships and change a few days, but please let us know ASAP if this is the case after you’ve booked your room. We may get an inquiry in the meantime for the adjusted dates you need.
